A PROVINCE OF DUO-GOVERNMENT

The circling green slope barricades it from the rest,
The vibrant energy of brooks rushing down the slope,
Is the portrayal of despair of water to touch it,
Being a juncture of those gentile brooks,
It gave birth to the elegant LOKTAK Lake.
And it is the tranquil valley where i dwell.

The denial to consider it a state etched the heart of hordes,
A fanatical array coalesced to float an armed night-government,
Violence was the modus operandi of that underground group,
Their perennial power overshadowed by the birth of the state ‘MANIPUR’,
And Armed forces special power act was the corollary of the immortal terrorism.
And it is the frenzied and bleeding valley where i dwell.

The child-like government chased the course of corruption,
As it grew up, it learned to cooperate with the existing night-government,
Henceforth terrorism became a prevalent vote-distributing machine.
Marketing of the government jobs is the cryptic business of the ministers,
And the present cost of a hawaldar seat is three-lakhs bucks per seat.
And it is the corroded government operating the valley where i dwell.

I enjoy 120 holidays per annum as a result of curfews and blockades,
Follow twice taxing system, one in the morning and other in the night,
Bleed at the cost of the conflicts between the two great governments,
Sometimes, have to pay to achieve what i deserve,
Am one of the rabble rousers throwing stones as an act of frustration ,
A composition of my blood , tears and sweat flows through the valley,
And am just a civilian of that intricate valley of duo-government.

A GLANCE ON MY SIGHT

a twinkling star in the dark vast sky........

The merging of the non-indegenous crowd(bangladeshi rufugees) with the sons of the soil of tripura has not only resulted into the scenario of political,cultural and financial domination over the poor tribes but also resulted into the self-categorisation of the society, "A Virtual Club System".

A self proclaimeed high class tripuries who feel shy and hesitate of their own language, attires and identity but enjoy the facilities of schedule tribe. This is the modernly fabricated combo of indegenous tripuri and bangladeshi refugees.

A set of bourgeois politicians, the pseudo guards and self-proclaimed care-taker of the political integrity of Tripura who urgented themselves the need to float a political party to safe guard the interests of tripuri against the atrocities of the government run by the majority bengali but allowed themselves to break into the pieces when got an opportunity to lead their respective followers.

A section of those belonging to the traditional tripuri faith but organise the festivals of other rather than their own faiths festivals, also participate in the so-called clubs which impose pooja fees on people rather than asking for donations.

In midst of these vast darkness was a twinkling group of christians who became an integral part of my life through their die-hard interest to safe-guard the indentity of the indegeneous people of the soil.

The eternal care of Donbosco Peace Centre for me , the fiercing wills of Rajesh sir and Meena didi, the jokes of Santosh and Dinesh pumping the laughing hormones, the tune of the flute played by Da Pru which is still hummimg in a distinct frequency in my ear, the saliva secreting delicacies of tripura, the good-bye stare of that moon-like face and the good-bye hand waves of Rajesh sir, Meena didi and Father PJ outside the train window with a hope to see me again were some of the factors forcing my will to step back someday on that soil to lit a dim light in that dark society.

THE LAW OF NATURE

The colour of peace all over the sky, signifies the season of autumn.
To feel the soothing air on the face,Oh!! that's a gift of nature.
Hovered with joy and gay,one tends to fly as an eagle.
But why doesn't one go to those dry leaves to ask how tired are they,
waiting for the monsoon to come....
Because it is the law of nature...

Thunders,storms, rain and rainbow are the epitome of monsoon.
The melody of nightingale,boosting the heart beats of someone in ardour of love.
The gleeful quills of peacock being a magnet of eyes.
But why doesn't one delve into the pain in the eyes of those homeless birds...
Why doesn't one appreciate the bravery of a non-destined boat..
Because it is the law of nature...

Hundreds to walk beside me, but not a single to lead me...
Hundreds to share my jovial moments but not a single to share my grief...
Hundreds to console me while i cry but not a single to catch my priceless tears...
These were the questions i asked Him, while he answered....
Because it is the law of nature...

(Metaphorical meaning of 'I' can be u yourself,a group of community or the nature itself.I've tried to cryptically emphasize the human tedency to be a part of only the brighter side of the nature.And due to the jovial feelings inducted from that brighter side they neglect the dark side of the same nature.And hence that darker side will always remain dark as they are not considered which would have been enlightened with some attention.And i strongly believe that this kind of neglection leads to destruction and indirectly harms the one practicing it.

The mentioned human tendency can be noticed in relationships when one is ignored by his/her loved ones in a painful stage of life.And thus by hampering the relationship,it converts the aroma of luv into the stagnant fume of hate and foe.The same tendency also affects the life of minority groups as they are neglected by government in the aspects of education and developement leading to social backlashes and conflicts.Again the same tedency is also adopted towards the nature also.Most of the people only try to extract the fruits of nature despite of making it more fruitful, decreasing the lifetime of the mother EARTH.But factually in the case of nature, the generation has evovled towards the positive side as most of the youngters are concerned with the destruction of nature.And i expect the same evolution for other arenas too.)
